Lake Shasta Caverns welcomes your group to our grounds. We offer special discounts for large groups, as well as high school and college classes. You'll see that our caverns are much more than just a cave! Book a group tour by calling (530) 238-2341. Calls are always returned the same business day.

Fun for Your Whole Group

Tour groups:

Consider our tour program if you have a group of 20 or more people.

We will create a customized program for your group, with options including special boat tours or dinner/lunch cruises to highlight the beauty of Shasta Lake and Dam, property rentals and tours of Lake Shasta Caverns.

Reservations are mandatory, and weekends and holidays are not available.

School groups:

From Home School to High School, Science Tours, Creation, and Spirit Tours, our trained guides combine education and entertainment to ensure the most unique learning experience in California. We work with institutions such as Vanderbilt and Western Kentucky Universities to provide knowledge and experience tailored to all ages and group desires in various disciplines such as speleology, geology and climate science! We offer customizable tours to fit all group needs.

As a National Natural Landmark, we provide information on all aspects of cave science, including cave conservation. Contact us and let us know how we can design an adventure for you!

All About the Underground Classroom Program

• Teachers receive educational materials for students to review prior to coming, including a video that students are required to watch.
• Upon arrival at the entrance to the caverns, students will be outfitted with lighted helmets to feel like professional cavers.
• In the cave, the students divide into groups. Each group centers on a different aspect of cave exploration.
• Special school prices are available for gemstone panning.
• Free use of our picnic area is a great place to have lunch.
